The Role of a Nominated Committee Member in Charge of a Discipline
The SBRC committee will appoint a member(s) as "in charge" and it is the responsibility of that committee member to ensure the tasks involved in managing that discipline are undertaken either by them or delegated to others.
The disciplines are :
- Cross Country
- Dressage
- Showing
- Show Jumping
- Working Hunter
- Appoint judge/s for each show including additional specialist judges for externally sponsored events if required (using club contacts as a starting point).
- Agree and arrange payment of fee or expenses for judge/s
- Arrange for provision of refreshment or club refreshment voucher for judge/s
- Appoint course builders or design courses and ring layouts to suit the discipline and nature of show.
- Ensure correct show/event set up on the day before
- Liaise with help list co-ordinator to ensure stewards and helpers as required
- Ensure reward voucher (supplied by club) given to each steward/helper
- Brief judge if necessary especially about proper completion of score sheets
- Ensure correct rosettes available on the day (liaise with Christine Pasquire for supply)
- Arrange qualifiers and/or sponsorships with external organisations (with committee approval & assistance)
- Arrange additional clinics and fun days as agreed from time to time by the committee
- Attend the committee meetings (6 per year)
- Cross country only, liaise with Nick Tyson over access and availability of land
Note: if the show/event is sponsored by the club, the member in charge should not be judging the class/es involved.

- Cross Country - Vacant
- Dressage - Pam Wilson and Christine Pasquire
- Showing - Tracey Asher
- Show Jumping - Stevie Taylor & Sally Tabberer
- Working Hunter - Martin Warwick & Sally Barber
